Research Analyst Intern (India)
We are looking for talented Research Analyst interns to join our data team in India for a period of initially three months.
Our Research Analysts would be focused on collecting deep data, ensuring the quality of data collected, validating the data and testing it to ensure it meets quality. The team would be responsible for the accuracy of data shared and would be expected to meet the KPIs defined. The team would also be expected to report the progress and meet weekly goals to ensure milestones are met. This data would be used to drive the product, and it is critical for the success of the company, hence this is a high-visibility, high-impact role.
The ideal candidate is driven, confident, has high attention to detail, and shows high ownership of tasks and responsibilities. The candidate would need to be collaborative and a team player to ensure a great team output. The candidate should be process oriented and should understand technical products and systems. Additional experience in working with data, especially cleaning, merging, formulating basic queries etc would be preferred. We are looking for a problem solver who can think on their feet and solve problems proactively, work with minimal supervision and provide great outcomes at pace.
Requirements:
- You are an experienced user of MS Excel, and have worked on data quality & research before
- You bring strong communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to articulate complex data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You were educated in a technical degree discipline from a Tier 1/2 University.
- You are comfortable working within an organization in the scale-up phase, where we are growing quickly and often working on multiple projects with tight timelines, simultaneously.
- Experience with Python is preferred but not mandatory
- SQL experience is preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Research global B2C subscription merchants
- Research will include services offered by merchants, their category, their subscription characteristics such as bundles, cancellation T&Cs, payment details etc
- Validate the research based on internal standard operating procedures and methods.
- Testing the details collected during the research phase, including signing up for subscriptions, performing actual cancellations through email,chat and phone, noting the merchant responses and thinking on your feet to improve success rates.
- Reporting progress to Research lead and communicating with the head of data on milestones achieved
- Ensure that the required data is collected, transformed and made available for our internal teams and/or external partners.
- Supporting senior stakeholders in other “quick wins” for key business outcomes in Finance, Product, Sales and Customer Success.
- Contribute to simple and innovative ways to ingest, transform, store and to analyze various data sources.
- Provide recommendations for enhancements of testing data specifications, processes and products.
