We are looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to join our Engineering team!

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and support Product team members to define requirements and technical solutions, defining deliverable work items

• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain software as part of the defined Software Development Lifecycle.

• Contribute to defining the team's technical vision and the necessary steps to achieve it.

• Provide technical expertise in the discovery phase of Product Development.

• Mentor/coach members of the team

• Ensure all solutions we create are compliant with any certifications, rules and regulations as well as not negatively impact our target service levels.

• Participate actively in the team’s rituals (can vary between teams).

• Collaborate with senior team members to design and drive the architecture of the platform

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java, with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience developing backend applications.

• Scala and Kotlin experience beneficial

• Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.

• Proficient in working with databases, including familiarity with NoSQL databases.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and identify effective solutions.

• Quality focused mindset, bringing excellence and continuous improvement to our products.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Prior experience in Agile development methodologies and practices.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and programming languages as needed.
